Saving a Soul

Wednesday 4th January 2017, was a day I couldn't control my tears. Accompanied by one, Yusuf Yakubu Yankari, we visited the family of Firdausi Sagir Adamu at the residence of Mallam Adamu Danyen Kara, Bayara Village, Bauchi L.G.A of Bauchi State on behalf of SAVE BAUCHI STATE ORGANISATION (SABSO).

Firdausi was born with the need to have Collorectal Surgery, a serious operation that her parents and family cannot afford a surgery to save her life.

To render my personal donation, I gave N5,000 in the DONATION BOX.

Girls’ education, not marriage age

When the Federal Government unrolled a plan last week that pegged marriage age for girls at 18 in order to end the prevalence of child marriage particularly in the North, the intention was very good but there was a way in which it could have been done more carefully so that it would not explode in everybody’s face. A strategy document and campaign against child marriage was launched in Abuja where Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo said government will frown at marrying off girls below the age of 18.
